Welcome to my blog where I share all things we love, from gardening to comfort food, hiking and traveling and DIYs.
My husband Jan, our two teenage daughters and I lived in Georgia, USA for 11 years and moved back to Germany in 2016. Living abroad was a great opportunity for us and we enjoyed every minute.
About me
I grew up in a small town in northern Germany. I have two siblings and life never got boring for us kids. Next to ballet classes, being part of the local sports and swim team, I had lots of fun with friends and wonderful mud fights with my siblings.
Eventually I finished my apprenticeship as a medical assistant and worked as a pediatric MA.
I am now a happy homemaker, mother, wife and have a passion for learning new things. The love for good healthy food led us to our own veggie garden, which is a big trial and error experience with many happy moments.
I love nature with all its colors, fragrances, sounds, wilderness, with all its beauty!
I love to travel/hike and one of my biggest dreams is to hike the alps.
I’m a pescatarian but I will not stop cooking dishes with meat for my family!
I would love to learn to play the guitar.
I am a nerd!
Why did I start the blog
Creativity has always been a big part of my life (I come from a crafty family). With the blog I can be creative in many ways and share happy moments, new experiences we make, old traditions we revive and new things we create.
